Strong Yields

An investment with a strong yield will be one that generates rental returns of 7%+ gross and is cash-flow positive.

A property's ability to achieve a strong yield is dependent on a few factors, including demand, location, desirability and price.

Properties in prime tourist regions, particularly 4 and 5 star aparthotel resorts with excellent amenities can achieve high returns.

Developments that offer guaranteed rental yields are often a good means of assuring a strong, steady return as are fully managed properties where all rents are pooled and distributed according to unit size and price.

Popular expatriate cities also can generate high returns.

Properties that have had big drops below their peak selling price can also achieve high returns, such as properties in Florida.

Additionally, properties in markets where locals are priced out of the buying market and thus rental demand is high such as Istanbul will achieve strong yields. In these growing markets, there is often a housing shortage.
